                                          We wiped out superstition from the world,

                                          We offered mankind the bounty of emancipation,

                                          We restored the sanctity of Thy ka’bah,

                                          We embraced Thy Quran like ardent patrons,

                                          Still, we are blamed  by Thee for faith lacking,

                                          If we lack in faith, Thou too art not encouraging,

   

                                          There are other nations too, they too have sinners,

                                          They too have the humble and the arrogant in them,

                                          They too have the learned, the unmindful and the wise,

                                          There are hundreds of them annoyed with Thy name,

                                          Still, Thy blessings are only upon such other nations,

                                          Thy curse strikes Muslims the poorest among nations.
