                                                  We did live to face the challenges of battles,

                                                  We sacrificed ourselves to keep high Thy name,

                                                   The battles were meant not for our self-rule,

                                                   We never died for the sake of worldly fame,

                                                   If the Ummah had lust for the worldly wealth,

                                                   Why it broke the idols and not worship them instead?

                                                   We never retreated whenever faced with battles,

                                                   The bravest of the armies gave way to us,

                                                   Any act of defiance of Thee invited our wrath,

                                                   What to talk of the swords, the guns bowed to us,

                                                   We made imprint of Thy tawheed in every heart,

                                                   We propagated Thy message under severe threat. 

                                                

                                                   ‘Ummah’ means Muslim nation.

                                                   ‘tawheed’ means in the unicity of God.
