                                                        The Saljooques and the Turks too lived here,

                                                        The Chinese lived in China and the Iranians in Iran,

                                                        The Greeks too inhabited this earth,

                                                        The Jews and the Christians too were on this land,

                                                        But, who in Thy name raised the sword?

                                                        Who corrected the wrong that prevailed?

                                          

                                                        We were the only men to fight for Thee,

                                                        We fought not only on the lands, but in the seas too,

                                                        We ushered in Islam to the church of Europe,

                                                        We spread Islam in the burning deserts of Africa too,

                                                        We despised the pomp and show of the kings,

                                                        We upheld Thy message through thick and thin.
