Song Of Despair (Iqbal's Shikwa)

                                                              Song Of Despair Part- 6
                                                                    (Iqbal’s Shikwa)

Whenever the prayer time came during a battle,
Facing the ka’bah, the Muslims lined up for prayer,

There stood in the same row the king and the slave,
Nobody remained a slave, nobody remained a cherisher,

The slave, the master, the destitute and the affluent became one,
Blessed is Thy court where all become one.

We moved in the world during mornings and evenings,
Carrying message of tawheed as the cup carries wine,

We spread Thy message in mountains and deserts,
Thee knoweth well that we were destined to win,

What to talk of deserts, we did not spare the ocean,
We went to the extent where the earth ends into ocean.
